Training Tips for Your First Half Marathon
Running 21 kilometers feels intimidating, but with the right plan it is absolutely achievable.
1. Build a base
Before starting a half-marathon plan, make sure you can comfortably run 5K three times a week.
2. Long runs matter
Add one longer run each week and increase the distance by no more than 10% per week.
3. Rest is training
Sleep, hydration, and easy days are when your body actually adapts.
4. Race day pacing
Start slower than you think you should. The last 5K is where the race begins.
